Current Exhibition

The Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center (SVAFC) is excited to present a Digital Art Exhibition featuring four Kansas artists working across a range of digital styles. The exhibition will be on view April 10 through May 3 at SVAFC.

A public reception will be held Sunday, April 12, featuring an artist panel discussion with the exhibiting artists. The panel will focus on digital art, process, and how this medium fits into today’s fine art conversations.

This show brings together:

• Joshua A. Smith (Wichita), whose work blends illustration and digital tools with a strong sense of storytelling and bold imagery.
• Thomas Giebler (Hays), who builds detailed digital environments and characters through 3D design.
• Brian Hinkle (Wichita), whose work explores color, form, and abstraction through digital processes.
• Cal McNichols (Lindsborg), offering a local perspective within the digital space.

This exhibition is a chance to see how artists across Kansas are working digitally and pushing the medium in different directions.
